letter to a Safe Haven for Newborns:
As if in a dream, this beautiful baby wrapped
in a hospital blanket is carefully carried to
our door! Since I was a little girl I always wanted
to have children of my own-especially a little
girl! My dream was to name her Gloria, after my
mother. You see, she named me Lori after hers!
The perfect circle, in my eyes.
Thank you Safe Haven for making dreams come true,
and may God’s Grace shine upon you. A very
special blessing for “tummy mommy”
for loving her so much you gave her to Safe Haven.
Forever our family will be grateful to the entire
staff at Safe Haven for Newborns. We will also
continue to spread the news through the media
of this life saving program.

Without Safe Haven our family would not exist
as we know it. Our Daughter may not have been
given the same opportunity or chance at life that
she is experiencing now and we certainly would
not have been experiencing this amazing joy watching
her grow into a happy, beautiful little girl.

My husband and
I were blessed to adopt a safe haven baby. Our
precious gift has bought so much joy into a life.
He is truly a jewel that we believe the Lord provided
for us. I would love to volunteer with the Safe
Haven Program, especially since I am a witness
to the blessing of this program.

How was I to know that three
years ago, God would bring me face to face with
one of His true angels. I am speaking of you,
and your incredible team members who continually
give of themselves to save the most precious
and vulnerable, the babies. On that incredible
day, New Years Eve, I was blessed with a beautiful
sweet, little angel to care for, whom we named
Kristopher. I truly can tell you that I could
not have even imagined that this child would
bring me and my family the happiness he has.
He is a happy, healthy, articulate, little blessing.
Each day with Kristopher Michael is more amazing
that the one before and just the thought that

A BABY IS SUCH A PRECIOUS GIFT
- A CHILD LEFT AT A "SAFE HAVEN" IS NOT ABANDONED
Baby abandonment is a tragedy that
is happening in the United States - It does not have
to happen:
A Safe Haven for Newborns began in response to the tragedy
of infant abandonment in Florida. We see and read about
abandoned babies all too often – it is heart breaking.
The Safe haven law is a safety net for both the mother
and the newborn infant. Instead of abandoning a newborn
to an almost sure death, it allows mothers, fathers
or whoever is in possession of an unharmed newborn,
approximately seven days old or less, to leave them
at a Safe Haven facility: Any Hospital, Staffed 24/7
Fire Rescue Station, or Staffed 24/7 Emergency Medical
Service Station, with no questions asked, totally anonymous,
free from fear of prosecution…… A compassionate
approach which is saving lives.
